The 1968 Chevrolet C20 CST Custom Camper 3/4-ton pickup is a unique Golden Anniversary model, originally purchased new from Capital Chevrolet in Denver, Colorado. The original owner cherished the vehicle for nearly half a century. This classic truck boasts a gold and white exterior, complemented by Parchment and Gold vinyl interior, and is powered by a robust 396ci V8 engine paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Its additional features include 16-inch steel wheels, power steering, heavy-duty suspension, running boards, and front and rear receiver hitches. Inside, you’ll find three-across front seating, a push-button radio, and air conditioning.
Acquired by the current seller in 2023, the truck was enhanced with a tri-level 1966 Del Rey Sky Lounge camper. This camper includes various amenities such as sleeping and seating areas, a stove, oven, table, refrigerator, sink, shower, toilet, water tanks, and a propane heater and lantern. The C20 and Del Rey camper are now available without reserve in California, accompanied by manufacturer’s literature, a collection of maps, and a clean Montana title under the seller’s LLC.
The truck originally sported a Gold finish with an Off-White roof and lower body panels. It was repainted in 1991 at Ed Bozarth Chevrolet in Aurora, Colorado. Adorned with CST and Custom Camper badges, it features a chrome front bumper, diamond-plate rear bumper, and running boards. The truck also includes camper mirrors, tie-downs, front and rear receiver hitches, and Chevy-branded rear mud flaps.
Equipped with chrome hubcaps, the 16-inch steel wheels are fitted with Firestone Transforce HT2 tires. Power steering and heavy-duty suspension components ensure a smooth and stable ride.
Inside the cab, the three-across seating is upholstered in Parchment and Gold vinyl, harmonizing with the color-coordinated dash, doors, and carpets. Additional features include a push-button Delco AM radio, air conditioning, and lap belts. A fire extinguisher is conveniently stored behind the right seat.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer displays 94k miles, with approximately 1k miles added under current ownership.
The tri-level 1966 Del Rey Sky Lounge camper offers an over-cab loft, a sleeping platform, and storage cabinets. The sleeping and sitting areas feature cushions upholstered in patterned green cloth and windows adorned with flowered curtains. Additional amenities include a stove, oven, table, refrigerator, sink, shower, toilet, water tanks, and a propane heater and lantern.
The 396ci V8 engine, originally rated at 235 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque, was fitted with dual fuel tanks in 1970. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.
The SPID sticker inside the glovebox door lists the factory equipment for the truck. The sale includes manufacturer’s literature and a collection of maps.
