This 1941 Chevrolet Carryall Suburban was originally purchased by the California State Detentions Bureau and later acquired by the current owner in 2016, followed by a refurbishment completed in 2017. The vehicle is finished in tan with green fenders and accents, complemented by brown upholstery. It is powered by a 216.5ci inline-six engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Notable features include a 12-volt electrical system, turn signals, a driver-side spotlight, running boards, a clamshell tailgate, a custom rear bumper, LED taillights, a trailer hitch, and wood-slat cargo floors. This Model 3116 Carryall Suburban comes with a clean North Carolina title under the seller’s name.

The second-generation Carryall Suburban, introduced in 1941, was available as the Model 3116 with a clamshell tailgate and the Model 3106 with rear cargo doors. Production was halted in 1942 due to World War II and resumed in 1946. During its 2017 refurbishment, this example received rust repairs and new sheet metal around the fuel filler area before being repainted in its current color scheme. The truck features a chrome front bumper with overriders, turn signals, a driver-side spotlight, running boards, LED taillights, a trailer hitch, and a custom rear bumper. The front bumper has some rust, the windshield wiper arms are missing, and there are scratches and a dent on the passenger door.

The green-painted steel wheels with chrome Chevrolet-branded hubcaps and red accents are fitted with 7.50–15 Denman tires. A spare wheel is stored under the rear cargo floor. The vehicle rides on a 115″ wheelbase with solid axles and leaf springs at each corner, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.

Inside, the cabin features brown-upholstered front seats, a locking glovebox, steel front floorboards with Chevrolet-branded rubber mats, and a wood-slat rear cargo floor. The windshield crank gears are broken, and the passenger-side door panel is missing.

The three-spoke steering wheel sits in front of a painted steel dash with an inoperable 80-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. Sunpro gauges for voltage and water temperature are mounted to the left of the steering column. The five-digit odometer reads 20k miles, with approximately 3k miles added by the current owner, though the total mileage is unknown.

The 216.5ci inline-six engine, featuring a Carter W-1 carburetor, was originally rated at 90 gross horsepower and is equipped with a 12-volt electrical system. The most recent oil change was performed in 2024, and power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
