This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro SS, originally sold in September 1970 at Herb Hallman Chevrolet in Reno, Nevada, remained with its first owner until the seller acquired it in February 2024. The car is finished in Hugger Orange with a Sandalwood vinyl interior and is powered by a 350ci Turbo-Fire V8 engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential. Notable features include a Hurst shifter, a Pioneer AM/FM cassette stereo, a luggage rack, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, and 14″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps. The odometer now reads 78,000 miles, and the car is available in Fruitland, Idaho, with various documents, including a build sheet, Protect-O-Plate, service records, and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name.

The car retains its factory Hugger Orange finish, complemented by dual halogen headlamps, fog lamps, and quad recessed round taillights. The hood has aftermarket pins, and a luggage rack is installed at the rear. The seller notes that the original Herb Hallman dealership emblem was removed from the decklid, with the holes filled and parts of the rear repainted in the early 1970s. Some areas of the paint are thin, and there are scratches on the side windows, with paint meter readings provided in the gallery.

The 14″ steel wheels are fitted with reproduction F70-14 Goodyear Polyglass tires, with a full-size spare in the trunk. The car’s suspension includes a front coil-spring setup paired with a leaf-sprung rear, and braking is managed by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The interior features four seats covered in plastic over Sandalwood vinyl, with a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. The center console, accented with woodgrain trim, houses a Hurst shifter, and the interior is equipped with a Pioneer AM/FM cassette stereo connected to four aftermarket speakers. Additional features include a heater, lap belts, and manual-crank windows.

The two-spoke steering wheel, adorned with SS badging, fronts a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. A Stewart Warner oil pressure gauge, fog lamp toggle switch, and indicator lights for the brakes and lighting have been added. The five-digit odometer shows 78,000 miles, with 250 of those added by the current owner.

The 350ci Turbo-Fire V8 engine is equipped with a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, a Mallory Unilite distributor, and a coil. Recent work in May 2024 included an oil change, and replacement of the spark plugs and ignition wires.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential, with transmission and differential fluids changed in May 2024.
