This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad, acquired by the seller’s father in 2011, has undergone extensive modifications and refurbishments. The exterior now sports a black finish, along with new bumpers and trim. It features a powerful 572ci Chevrolet engine paired with a 4L80 four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential housed in a narrowed rear end. The vehicle rides on a custom chassis equipped with a coilover suspension, tubular control arms, and power steering, all enhanced by five-spoke Budnik 17″ wheels and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes. The rear wheels are fitted with 18.5″ wide Mickey Thompson tires.

Inside, the Nomad boasts new upholstery, tan leather-trimmed front bucket seats, power windows, Vintage Air climate control, a B&M shifter, Classic Instruments gauges, and an Eclipse head unit installed in a custom center console. This unique Nomad is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner’s estate and comes with a clean Texas title.

During its refurbishment, the exterior was painted black and equipped with replacement bumpers, bodyside moldings, and trim. Notable features include a drop-down cargo door, a concealed fuel filler above the left taillight, and aftermarket hooded headlights.

The five-spoke 17″ Budnik wheels are fitted with Fuzion ZR1 tires at the front and 31×18.5″ Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro tires at the rear. The car’s custom chassis includes a coilover suspension, tubular control arms, and power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, with braking handled by Wilwood four-wheel discs.

The cabin has sound-deadening material, a new headliner, dashboard trim, door panels, and rear panels. The front bucket seats are trimmed in tan leather, while the rear seats were removed to accommodate the oversized rear axle housing. The floors are lined with brown carpets featuring tan piping. Additional amenities include Vintage Air climate control, a custom center console, power windows, a B&M shifter, and an Eclipse head unit with navigation.

The aftermarket steering wheel fronts a Classic Instruments 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The five-digit odometer reads 320 miles.

The 572ci Chevrolet V8, installed in 2016, includes a high-rise intake manifold, a high-performance camshaft, an oil cooler, and various polished and chrome-plated components under the hood. Cooling is managed by an aluminum radiator and electric fans. The mufflers were replaced in January 2018, and the fuel pump was replaced and the carburetor cleaned in October 2023, per the seller.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 4L80 four-speed automatic transmission, featuring a high-performance torque converter and a modified flex plate with ARP hardware. The narrowed rear axle includes a limited-slip differential, re-sealed in April 2018. Long-tube headers channel exhaust through a side-outlet system with finishers ahead of each rear wheel.
