This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible underwent a complete refurbishment between 2006 and 2008, featuring a fresh repaint, a reupholstered interior, and the installation of a Ram Jet 350ci V8 crate engine paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The exterior is finished in white with orange stripes and features a custom RS-style grille with concealed headlights, a bespoke hood, rear spoiler, and a power-operated white convertible top. The vehicle is fitted with a lowered suspension, Heidts tubular front control arms, rack-and-pinion power steering, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. It also rides on 17″ Rally-style wheels and includes Hotchkis cross-brace and anti-sway bars.
The interior showcases late-model Camaro bucket seats trimmed in orange vinyl with houndstooth inserts, complemented by a Flaming River billet steering wheel, Hurst shifter, and a carbon-fiber dash panel. The Flaming River billet steering wheel and Hurst shifter sit in front of a Covan’s Classic carbon-fiber dash, equipped with AutoMeter C2 gauges, including a 160-mph speedometer and a 10k-rpm tachometer. The digital odometer shows 4,100 miles, representing the distance since the build’s completion.
The Ram Jet 350ci V8 engine, installed in 2006, features a Spectre Performance dual-inlet air intake, an aluminum radiator, and an electric puller fan. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential with 3.42:1 gearing, hydraulic clutch, and custom dual exhaust system with Hooker headers and Flowmaster mufflers.
