This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air four-door hardtop underwent a refurbishment after being acquired by the seller’s father in 2010. During the process, a new floor and doors were installed before the car was repainted in white. It’s powered by a 283ci Turbo-Fire V8 engine paired with a two-speed automatic transmission, while the interior was reupholstered in a striking combination of red and black vinyl. The car is equipped with 14″ steel wheels, whitewall tires, a Continental kit, chrome bumpers, twin wind splits and antennas, a cabin heater, power windows, a push-button radio, and a power-adjustable front seat. This Bel Air is now available with spare parts, a car cover, and a clean Massachusetts title under the seller’s name.
The refurbishment included installing a replacement floor pan and doors, followed by a fresh coat of white paint. The rear features a Continental kit, and the car is further detailed with twin wind splits, hooded headlights, dual antennas, polished bodyside trim, a concealed fuel filler above the left taillight, and chrome grille and bumpers.
The 14″ red steel wheels are fitted with faux knock-off covers and Coker Classic whitewall tires, with a matching spare mounted on the Continental kit. The car is equipped with drum brakes on both the front and rear.
Inside, the power-adjustable front bench seat is upholstered in red vinyl with patterned black inserts, with matching materials on the rear bench and door panels. Additional features include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, analog clock, rear speaker, cabin heater, power windows, and a push-button radio.
The red two-spoke steering wheel, complete with a chrome horn ring, frames a 120-mph speedometer flanked by nonfunctional coolant temperature and fuel level gauges. The five-digit odometer reads 55k miles, with about 200 miles added by the current owner.
The 283ci Turbo-Fire V8 engine is fitted with a two-barrel carburetor and a single-snorkel air cleaner, delivering power to the rear wheels via a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
