This 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible was purchased by the seller in 2018, reportedly from a previous owner who had the car for around 40 years. It features a 283ci V8 engine paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and is finished in aqua with a black convertible top. Key features include chrome bumpers, quad headlights, electric windshield wipers, power steering, and 14″ steel wheels with fan-style covers. The interior is equipped with aqua vinyl bench seats and a push-button cassette radio. The car is being offered at no reserve with a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.
Originally finished in Lagoon Aqua, the car was repainted in the 1980s. Additional features include a black convertible top, quad headlights, chrome bumpers, electric windshield wipers, quarter vent windows, and bright trim. The convertible top’s zipper needs replacement, and there is a dent on the right-rear quarter panel, as shown in the accompanying photos.
The 14″ steel wheels are fitted with Sears All-Season Guardsman white-stripe tires. The car includes power steering, front and rear coil-spring suspension, and drum brakes on all four wheels.
Inside, the bench seats are covered in aqua vinyl, with some tears visible in the front seat upholstery. Interior features include manual-crank windows, a push-button cassette radio, and lap belts. The air conditioning is not currently functioning.
The dashboard is fitted with a two-spoke steering wheel, a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, a fuel gauge, and various warning lights. The five-digit odometer reads 26k miles, with about 100 of those added by the current owner, though the total mileage is unknown.
The 283ci Turbo-Fire V8 is equipped with a single-snorkel air cleaner, and power is delivered to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
