This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 pickup underwent an 18-month restoration, completed in 2004, which included refinishing the exterior in metallic green and the interior in brown. A 235ci Thriftmaster inline-six engine was installed, along with a four-speed manual transmission and a 12-volt electrical system. Additional features include 15″ steel wheels, running boards, a wood-plank cargo bed, and a cabin heater. Recent work in 2024 included replacing the fan belt, spark plugs, plug wires, and fluids. The selling dealer acquired the vehicle in 2024, and it’s offered with an owner’s manual, service records, refurbishment photos, and a clean Oregon title.

The truck’s cab and bed were removed and repainted in its original green color, enhanced with a metallic finish, clear coat, and yellow pinstripes. A new front bed panel and a tailgate with white “Chevrolet” lettering were also installed. It features a chrome grille, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, running boards, and a wood-plank cargo bed. Any imperfections are highlighted in the video below.

The 15″ steel wheels, which are accented with yellow pinstripes and chrome hubcaps, are fitted with Firestone whitewall tires, with a spare mounted beneath the bed. Drum brakes are equipped on all four corners.

The refurbished cab includes a brown-painted dashboard and lower doors, with a bench seat upholstered in brown vinyl. Interior features include a glovebox, seatbelts, and a cabin heater.

Instrumentation includes a 90-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel, oil pressure, and amperage. The five-digit odometer reads 207 miles, which reportedly reflects the mileage since the restoration.

The 235ci Thriftmaster inline-six engine, sourced from a 1959 model, was rebuilt and bored .050″ over during its installation in 2004. It’s equipped with a downdraft carburetor, a 12-volt electrical system, and an alternator. Recent maintenance in 2024 included an oil change, as well as the replacement of spark plugs, plug wires, and the fan belt. Casting and stamping numbers are visible in the gallery.
